Starring Jason Momoa, the eight-episode third season will mark the last chapter of the series and will premiere with the first episode, followed by one new episode weekly, every Friday.

“We are thrilled to share this epic final chapter of ‘See,’ which delivers all the intense drama, riveting action, and heartfelt emotion fans have come to expect, as well as what we think is a deeply satisfying conclusion to our story,” said “See” showrunner and executive producer Jonathan Tropper. “Building a world without sight was a particularly unique and continuous challenge that was met through the passionate and thoughtful collaboration of a phenomenally talented and perse team both in front of and behind the camera. The show has been a monumental labor of love for all involved, and we are eternally grateful for the way ’See’ has been embraced by viewers around the world.”

But when a Trivantian scientist develops a new and devastating form of sighted weaponry that threatens the future of humanity, Baba returns to Paya in order to protect his tribe once more.

The series features cast and crew who are blind or have low vision and has been honored for its representation of the visually impaired, winning the Ruderman Family Foundation Seal of Authentic Representation in 2020. “See” was also recognized this year with an NAACP Image Awards nomination for star Alfre Woodard in the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series category.

Starring alongside Momoa in the third season of “See” are ensemble cast members Sylvia Hoeks, Hera Hilmar, Christian Camargo, Archie Madekwe, Nesta Cooper, Tom Mison, Olivia Cheng, Eden Epstein, Michael Raymond-James, David Hewlett and Trieste Kelly Dunn.

“See” is executive produced by Steven Knight, Francis Lawrence, Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping, Jim Rowe, Jennifer Yale, Anders Engström and Jonathan Tropper, who also serves as showrunner. The series is produced by Chernin Entertainment and Endeavor Content.

The first two seasons of “See” are now available to stream on Apple TV+.

When guests took a break from the dancefloor they kicked back in the Xbox lounge to play an array of games on custom RapCaviar artist-wrapped consoles.

Rev. Al Sharpton blasted the US Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, the landmark ruling that established the constitutional right to abortion in 1973.

“The Supreme Court’s decision overturning Roe v. Wade is a blatant attempt to bring us back to the dark ages,” said Reverend Sharpton. “It will disproportionately impact Black women and poor women. This must be resisted aggressively. States must enact laws to protect women.”

Today’s ruling leaves abortion legality up to the discretion of inpidual states — 26 of which are likely to ban abortion through trigger laws, 6- or 8-week bans, or near-total bans. A leaked draft of the decision in early May sparked widespread backlash across the country from pro-choice supporters and activists, who assert that removing this right will only lead to unsafe, clandestine abortions and force women to carry unwanted pregnancies to term.

NAN Condemns US Supreme Court Ruling on Guns

As the debate around gun control rages on—in the wake of the deadly shootings in Buffalo an Uvalde—the US Supreme Court has struck down a New York law restricting gun-carrying rights. The ruling expands gun rights and can have implications for California and New Jersey.

“The Supreme Court decision on carrying a gun in New York is devastating and potentially dangerous,” said Reverend Al Sharpton. “This ruling could not have come at a worse time, as we have been working to de-escalate gun violence in the city. It has never been more important for Congress to pass meaningful legislation to combat the epidemic that is gun violence in this nation.”

Rev. Al Sharpton, Spike Lee, and Producer john Legend do a talk back after the premiere of “Loudmouth” at the Tribeca Film Festival

Documentary on Reverend Sharpton Closes Out Tribeca Film Festival with Positive Reviews

Last weekend, hundreds of people traveled to New York City to catch a glimpse of Loudmouth, a documentary focused on Reverend Al Sharpton and the civil rights movement that he waged in New York City. The documentary –directed by Josh Alexander and produced by musical icon John Legend—received positive reviews.

“Sharpton has been accused of spotlight seeking. In the doc, that’s by design in that Sharpton, from early on, was deliberate about being loud, ubiquitous and on TV whenever and wherever possible as the best strategy to change the narrative and eventually the law around social justice,” wrote Variety. “The family of George Floyd was in the audience for the premiere of the documentary at the Tribeca Film Festival. The fest’s closing selection ushered in the national Juneteenth holiday.”

The event, held last Saturday at the Borough of Manhattan Community College, “celebrated Sharpton with the kind of big-screen portrait that has been commonplace for an older generation of civil rights leaders, but had, until Loudmouth, eluded the 67-year-old activist,” noted ABC News. “Loudmouth contextualizes Sharpton’s legacy as an extension of Martin Luther King Jr., Malcolm X, the Rev. Jesse Jackson, Rep. John Lewis and others, while at the same time chronicling his unique longevity despite plenty of naysayers along the way.

The genius of the documentary is that it provides a nuanced understanding of the movement but cautions against the very idea that racism is a thing of the past.

Sharpton often returned to the question of how much has changed in the last half century. Sharpton recently gave eulogies for several victims in Buffalo of last month’s racist mass shooting that killed 10 people in a supermarket. Still, he said he also sees great progress, and more Black people in power than ever before.

“We’re not out of the woods yet,” Sharpton said at the screening of the documentary last Saturday. “But we’ve done enough paths in the woods to believe we can get out.”

NEW YORK CITY GETS ITS GROOVE BACK THIS SUMMER WITH DISCOASIS

AN IMMERSIVE, MUSICAL AND THEATRICAL ROLLER DISCO EXPERIENCE AT WOLLMAN RINK IN CENTRAL PARK LAUNCHING JUNE 16

Bringing Disco Home to Its Birthplace & Celebrating NYC’s Longtime Roller Skating Scene

Featuring Legendary Mega-Hitmaker Nile Rodgers As Event “Groovemaster”

Tickets On Sale Today

New York, N.Y. — New York City turns up the heat on Thursday, June 16th with the opening of The DiscOasis, a glittering, theatrical and distinctly New York immersive roller disco experience coming to Central Park’s iconic Wollman Rink through October 1. Created and produced by Constellation Immersive in partnership with Live Nation and Los Angeles Media Fund, The DiscOasis will offer exciting evening skate times & programs featuring theatrical performances with an array of live DJs, artists and special guests, as well as open skate sessions during the daytime. The sonic elements of the experience will be curated by world-renowned hit producer and event Groovemaster Nile Rodgers (CHIC, Diana Ross, David Bowie, Madonna, Daft Punk, Lady Gaga). Located in idyllic Central Park, Wollman Rink will be reimagined as an oasis within an oasis — inviting guests to skate, dance, and let loose in a botanical paradise where music flows and magic grows.

With a glittering roller rink fantasia as its centerpiece designed by Tony Award-nominated David Korins and lighting design by award-winning David Weiner, The DiscOasis will also feature nightly theatrical shows directed by soon-to-be-announced a Tony Award-nominated director & choreographer. There will also be interactive installations inspired by Groovemaster Nile Rodgers’ iconic catalog, a dance floor, live roller-dance performances, food and beverage service, and more. Rodgers is curating a special playlist of skate-worthy, groove-inducing tracks for each night’s local DJ to spin fresh for skaters and dancers.

Tickets are on sale beginning, May 10 at 11am (EDT) at thediscoasis.com and will offer WRAP (Wollman Rink Access Program) tickets on an ongoing basis. Skating sessions will be available from 10am to 10pm on Wednesdays through Sundays from June 16 until October 1.

Nile Rodgers said, “I’m a lifelong New Yorker and, for me, Central Park was always the place where big things happened — from watching Sly & the Family Stone and Diana Ross, to sharing the first moon landing and the inaugural Earth Day. Since The DiscOasis is all about celebrating New York culture, there’s no other place for it to be.”

Constellation Immersive’s CEO, Thao Nguyen said, “The DiscOasis was created as a movement to celebrate community, inclusivity, and positivity. We’re tapping New York City’s rich history — both as the birthplace of disco and its longtime connection to the urban roller-skating experience — providing an ideal and unique opportunity to gather again. We’re fortunate to have this opportunity to bring this unique immersive experience to iconic Central Park thanks to our wonderful partners, Nile Rodgers, Wollman Park Partners, Live Nation and Los Angeles Media Fund.”

Live Nation’s Geoff Gordon, Regional President Northeast said, “Disco started here in the heart of New York City, inspiring a movement and celebration of inclusiveness, love, and beauty. The DiscOasis immersive experience, which drew record crowds last summer in Los Angeles, will recreate that magic and bring Disco home to New York City. We’re excited to partner with Constellation Immersive, Los Angeles Media Fund, and the amazingly talented Nile Rodgers to reimagine the Disco movement through this immersive, musical, and moving experience for residents across New York City and beyond in legendary Central Park, home to many memorable and celebratory cultural and musical experiences.”

Los Angeles Media Fund’s Jeffrey Soros and Simon Horsman said, “We are so excited to be working with such excellent partners to bring what we feel is the perfect summer-long party for this moment in New York City.”

Wollman Rink’s Vice President & General Manager, Stefanie Tomlin said, “On behalf of the Wollman Park Partners and our principals – Josh Harris and David Blitzer, Founders of Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment; Jeff Blau, CEO of Related Companies; and Harvey Spevak, Executive Chairman and Managing Partner, Equinox Group – we are thrilled to host The DiscOasis at Wollman Rink this summer. After an incredibly hard two years of COVID, where New York City was one of the hardest hit places in the nation, the joy and sense of normalcy that roller skating will bring to the City’s residents and visitors alike is a moment we’ve all been yearning for. Roller skating is an activity everyone can enjoy and is in line with Wollman Park Partners’ mission of creating a vibrant, diverse, and inclusive space that will, in tandem, bolster NYC’s economic recovery. We look forward to working with The DiscOasis to bring this vision to life in a new and immersive way.”

An earlier iteration of The DiscOasis was presented in Los Angeles, where its sold-out run was a 2021 highlight event. The Los Angeles Times wrote, “The party of the summer is a secret roller-skating disco at an LA botanical garden,” and Fast Company named Constellation Immersive one of its Top 10 Most Innovative Live Events Companies “for reviving the roller disco and just in time.”

A portion of the proceeds from The DiscOasis benefits the We Are Family Foundation, which creates and supports programs that promote cultural diversity and empower youth who are changing the world with bold ideas. The Foundation takes its name from the 1979 disco hit “We Are Family,” sung by Sister Sledge and written/produced by “Groovemaster” Nile Rodgers and Bernard Edwards.

New Yorkers have been avid roller skaters for more than a century — in parks, on streets, and at the city’s roller rinks — with skating clubs and regular events continuing today. Roller skating’s dynamic heyday was the disco era, with its accompanying infectious, danceable tracks and diverse gatherings at legendary ‘70s & early ‘80s dance clubs like Studio 54, Paradise Garage, Funhouse, Xenon, and many others. The DiscOasis continues this bastion of self-expression & inclusivity today with a classic and new soundtrack carrying the torch.

Opened in 1950 and reopened last year under new operators WPP, Wollman Rink (830 5th Avenue) has been a favorite New York destination for decades. The rink’s mission is to promote an inclusive, welcoming and healthy environment for all visitors in partnership with its community partners that include Great Performances, Celebrity Chef Melba Wilson, YMCA of Greater New York, Ice Hockey in Harlem, Figure Skating in Harlem, The Boys’ Club of New York and Green City Force. Ice skating at the rink is one of the most popular activities for residents and tourists alike along with numerous year-round programming and events It provides a magical skating experience, under a star-filled sky while surrounded by the splendor of the Manhattan skyline. The iconic rink is less than a five-minute walk from the Park’s south entrance at W. 59th Street and 6th Avenue. THE BOYS

“The Boys” season three returns with bigger and more shocking gore, unrelenting violence, and awkwardly bold sexual themes. All key ingredients to an undeniable hit for Prime Video. But what really makes the series special is the brave writing. Yeah the the story line is strong and entertaining but it’s the sharp opinionated commentary that will win the loyalty of likeminded individuals who finally have a media ally unafraid to address
tough social issues.

Whether it’s animal rights, or the truth about Ronald Reagan and Oliver North’s Iran Contra fiasco. (Yes the United States Government pumped tons of cocaine into Black Communities under their control.)
The series also tackles Gun control and human exploitation in all of it’s forms.
Then there’s corporate greed in every shape and form.

No matter your cause “The Boys got you covered!

It’s been a year of calm. Homelander’s subdued. Butcher works for the government, supervised by Hughie of all people. But both men itch to turn this peace and quiet into blood and bone. So when The Boys learn of a mysterious Anti-Supe weapon, it sends them crashing into the Seven, starting a war, and chasing the legend of the first Superhero: Soldier Boy.
The Boys is a fun and irreverent take on what happens when superheroes—who are as popular as celebrities, as influential as politicians, and as revered as gods—abuse their superpowers rather than use them for good. Intent on stopping the corrupt superheroes, The Boys, a group of vigilantes, continue their heroic quest to expose the truth about The Seven and Vought—the multibillion-dollar conglomerate that manages the superheroes and covers up their dirty secrets. It’s the seemingly powerless against the super powerful.
Season Three of The Boys stars Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Dominique McElligott, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capone, Karen Fukuhara, Nathan Mitchell, Colby Minifie, Claudia Doumit, and Jensen Ackles.
The Boys is based on The New York Times best-selling comic by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, who also serve as executive producers, and developed by executive producer and showrunner Eric Kripke. Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz, Pavun Shetty, Phil Sgriccia, Craig Rosenberg, Ken F. Levin, Jason Netter, Paul Grellong, David Reed, Meredith Glynn, and Michaela Starr also serve as executive producers. The Boys is produced by Amazon Studios and Sony Pictures Television Studios, with Kripke Enterprises, Original Film, and Point Grey Pictures.

A Message from Hakeem Jeffries United States Representative

Happy Juneteenth, Lamar.

Today, we commemorate the emancipation of slaves in America and celebrate the freedoms we’ve won in the centuries since.
It’s also a day to remember the historic injustices committed against Black people throughout our nation’s history — from the days of slavery, to the Jim Crow era, to the white supremacist-fueled violence we still see today — and recommit ourselves to the work that remains.

On Juneteenth, we acknowledge that we cannot rest as we work to advance equality for Black Americans, end discrimination, and continue to fight for true freedom. The struggle lives on.
I was proud to help pass a bill that President Biden signed last year making Juneteenth a federal holiday — an important step forward in the fight to recognize our history, end systemic racism, and celebrate the freedom and joy of Black people across the country.
But the fight against white supremacy and structural racism in this country is far from over. We have so much work still to do in order to dismantle systems of oppression that persist today.
I’m committed to reforming our criminal justice system, eradicating the malignant tumor of white supremacy, and ending the era of voter suppression once and for all. And I’m grateful to have you alongside me in these fights.
Happy Juneteenth, Lamar. Our fight for freedom and equality continues.

Keep the faith,
— Hakeem
