SHOWTIME® ANNOUNCES RAY DONOVAN FEATURE-LENGTH FILM

Emmy® and Golden Globe® Nominee Liev Schreiber To Return and Co-Write Script
With Showrunner David Hollander, Who Will Direct

Golden Globe Winner Jon Voight and Kerris Dorsey Also Return

LOS ANGELES – February 24, 2021 – SHOWTIME has announced a RAY DONOVAN feature-length film continuing Ray’s journey, following the hit drama series’ seven-season run on the network. Star Liev Schreiber will return in his Emmy® and Golden Globe® nominated role and co-write the script along with series showrunner David Hollander, who will also serve as director. Golden Globe winner Jon Voight will also reprise his role as Mickey Donovan, as will Kerris Dorsey as Ray’s daughter Bridget. The production is tentatively scheduled to begin filming later this year in New York and will air on SHOWTIME. The announcement was made today by Gary Levine and Jana Winograde, Presidents of Entertainment, Showtime Networks Inc.

The new film picks up where season seven left off, with Mickey in the wind and Ray determined to find and stop him before he can cause any more carnage. It will also weave together the present-day fallout from the Donovan/Sullivan feud with Ray and Mickey’s origin story from 30 years ago.

“When RAY DONOVAN went off our air after seven great seasons, we heard from so many of its loyal fans that they were not ready to say goodbye to Ray and the wonderfully dysfunctional Donovan clan,” said Levine. “And so, for them, we are delighted that Liev and David are creating a thrilling new chapter of this iconic series.”

During its 82-episode run from 2013 to 2020, the series earned multiple Emmy, Golden Globe, Writers Guild and Critics’ Choice nominations, with Voight winning a Golden Globe Award for Best Performance By An Actor Role In A Supporting Role In A Series, Mini-Series, Or Motion Picture Made For Television.

The RAY DONOVAN film is executive produced by David Hollander, Liev Schreiber, Mark Gordon, Bryan Zuriff and Lou Fusaro.

SHOWTIME is currently available to subscribers via cable, DBS, and telco providers, and as a stand-alone streaming service through Amazon, Apple®, Google, LG Smart TVs, Oculus Go, Roku®, Samsung Smart TVs, Xbox One and PlayStation®4. Business is booming in season four of Snowfall

It’s January 1st, 1985. Ronald Reagan has won his re-election campaign proclaiming it is “morning again in America,” but in South Central, Los Angeles, it feels more like the sun is getting low. The demand for crack cocaine is high, and while our crew of dealers led by Franklin Saint (Damson Idris) are benefitting greatly from the rising tide of addiction, they are also starting to become aware of the damage the drug is doing to the people and to the place they love. With the entire nation taking note, the LAPD is diverting serious money and resources to the “war on drugs.” Politicians’ phones are ringing. Powerful people are concerned from the hallways of The White House to those of CIA headquarters, where there are whispers that one of their own may be involved in this burgeoning epidemic.

This season Franklin will be forced to emerge from his near-grave in order to try and regain control over his business and end the rising gang violence in the streets before it becomes an all-out war. Check out season four’s official trailer here

24-Year-Old Entrepreneur Bryce Thompson Delivers $100,000 in Scholarships to 10 HBCU Students Powered by IAMS Foundation and Scholly

Winners surprised in their hometowns with $10,000 check.

Entrepreneur, investor and philanthropist Bryce Thompson

(ATLANTA, GA) – February 9, 2021 – 24-year-old entrepreneur, investor, and former Morehouse student Bryce Thompson awarded $100,000 in scholarships to 10 Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) students to kick off Black History Month.

Powered by Thompsons’ IAMS Foundation and support from the Scholly app, the scholarship search launched last Fall with the mission of helping ease the financial burden of college tuition amid the negative impacts of a global pandemic, racial violence, and skyrocketing unemployment.

After receiving hundreds of applications, 10 students were selected and awarded their scholarships with a surprise hometown visit by Thompson himself.

The scholarship winners are Jalen Robinson (Morehouse), Tate Toole (Morehouse), Robert Pinkney (Morehouse), Je’Von James Tone (Texas Southern University), Miles Smith (Bethune-Cooke University), Kaleb Perkins (Livingstone College), Daisha Green (Philander Smith College), Taylor Helton (Prairie View A&M University), Ms. Jordan James (Hampton University) and Lindsay Collins (Howard University).

Once a struggling student himself, Thompson vowed to one day give back to students facing financial challenges after his uncle generously paid for his first year of tuition.”I know what it feels like to not know whether you’re going to be able to register for the next semester,” says Thompson, who studied engineering while at Morehouse. “So, to now be in a position to ensure that at least 10 students will be able further their education is an incredible blessing and honor.”

A native of Missouri City, Texas, Thompson began his entrepreneurial journey as a college student when his older brother Branden introduced him to cryptocurrency and investing. He began studying the industry and developed a knack for teaching others how to make profitable investments. Sensing an opportunity to build a following by inspiring others to join the cryptocurrency movement, Thompson, along with his brother Branden and four fellow Morehouse students (Nathan Samuel, Reynaldo Perez, Joshua Stewart, and Ian Jackson) formed the TradeHouse Investment Group. The goal of the company is to teach financial literacy through investment strategies and to provide a platform that offers economic and social advancement to traditionally disenfranchised communities. The partners’ networking savvy and charisma grew the company into a multi-million-dollar business in just 2 years. And it all started at an HBCU.

“I am a testament to how giving back can change the trajectory of one’s life,” he says. “If it were not for my uncle’s generosity, I wouldn’t have been able to attend Morehouse and develop a network of like-minded individuals who would go on to become my business partners. Investing in my community will always be one of the smartest, most valuable business decisions I’ll ever make.”
